wmd's Issues

Showdown cuts off reference-style links at 'Z'

Markdown to reproduce the problem:

-------------

[URIs with Zs are cut off.][1]

  [1]: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qh9AZVVDxw

--------------

The url-matching regular expression:

/^[ ]{0,3}\[(.+)\]:[ \t]*\n?[ \t]*<?(\S+?)>?[ \t]*\n?[
\t]*(?:(\n*)["(](.+?)[")][ \t]*)?(?:\n+|\Z)/gm

uses \Z, which is newline or end of subject for many regex engines, but literal
'Z' in IE, Webkit,
and Gecko. Removing "|\Z" from the expression resolves the issue.

Header only toggles between h1 and h2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Using the header button toggles between no formatting, h1 and h2 then
back to no formatting

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect the headnigs to toggle to at least h3 (or at least be
configurable)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version on Vista, Firefox

Please provide any additional information below.
This is maybe not a bug, possibly a feature request. Sorry if this is in
the wrong place.

Hard/Impossible to Download wmd Zip File

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Visit wmd project page, using Firefox 11.0 on 2011 Macbook Air
2. Click wmd-1.0.1.zip
3. Twiddle thumbs for 20m, until frustration reaches peak

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I was expecting to be able to download the file. Sadly that's not happening.
And it looks like such terrific software; it's a shame I can't get it only my
hard drive.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I'm trying to download 1.0.1 onto a OS 10.7 Macbook Air, using Firefox 11.

Please provide any additional information below.

That's it. Thanks for building this editor!

The editor is not visible on an iPhone

I've used the WMD editor in www.picowiki.com which is great when editing the
wiki on a desktop,
but it doesn't display on an iPhone or iPod Touch. I'll be hiding it based on
user_agent, but I know
many of my users would really enjoy the ease of input that WMD provides.

IE6 can not run the above

I downloaded the latest version, but can not be used on IE6, and resulted
in suspended animation browser. To provide you with the code to run it, why
not?

Javascript Error when editor is not visible

Hi,

I use the editor on a div with multiple tabs (also divs). When the tab with the
editor is invisible then
every few milliseconds you get an JS error ("null value").

Debugging a packed JS file is not very practical, so I cannot see where the
error occurs.

BTW I could really use the un-packed JS files of WMD. When will you upload them?

Thanx, Bart

Editor doesn't start up in IE8 beta

Right now wmd doesn't start up on IE8. I'll look into this once I have an
open-source release
happily running on all the other browsers.

wmd adds a <p> to each line

It seems that wmd add's a paragraph tag to each line:
Example:http://egoo.de/forum/topic/herzlich-willkommen (Output)

I use the same script (http://egoo.de/wmd/wmd.js) for the blog (wordpress)
and the forum.

In the blog everything works fine, but not in the forum.

Add wmd-editor to more than one textfield in a page

Is there any way to add wmd-editor to all the textfields in a page. Currently I
have 2 text fields in a
page and only the first text-field contains the editor.

Any suggestions to have wmd-editor for all textfields.

Feature request: add some extra buttons _easily_

It's not a defect but a feature request.

It would be great to be able to add easily some extra buttons (I tried to
do so but was a pain in actual code). And a button that displays a submenu
with other buttons would be awesome :)
and totally configurable through a .js file.

hope my wishes come true :)

WMD can't handle images embedded with data url scheme

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Here is some markdown that works in the Perl version (tested at
http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/dingus ) but not in
WMD:

Safari 4.0.1
