Personally I'm +1 for migration; being able to find discussions at one place makes search far easier
This is the exact reason why I don't really like to move. There is a lot of history in the moveit-users list
and people still respond to two-year-old threads there every now and then..
I don't like the googlegroup at all, but on the other hand I couldn't find a good reason to initiate a move...

I agree with @v4hn that we have a significant amount of our documentation in mailing list threads, and to move away from the google groups would obscure it from view and make docs even more difficult. We would need a good reason to jump to Discourse - e.g. a huge code push to adopt ROS 2.0 comm layer
