rtl88-themes's Issues

Repo size reduction

Currently the repository size is huge. Can you reduce the size by truncating history. Since many of the commits are just upload as far as I see.

I've cloned the repository and switching to braches become real headache.

[bug] Hovering over multiple options leave them selected/highlighted

Hello,
I managed to find a bug with the Material-black controls. When right-clicking on an application icon from the taskbar, it will display a menu with options. Hovering over those options will change the color for the time that menu is still being displayed, even when the cursor is no longer hovering over that option, it shouldn't be like that. It seems this bug only happens with taskbar icons, but on application menus, that bug isn't there. The following is a link to a MKV video file link recorded with SimpleScreenRecorder: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lO9D0w2eDjYrmL0fE0fDY2vhe3UDIMSd/view?usp=sharing (GitHub doesn't accept mkv and after converting it to GIF using KDENLIVE, it output a huge file (~480MB), which is too big to attach to this post.

Please have a look at it.
Keep up the great work.

Regards.

Cinnamon theme?

Hey, great theme, I see it mentions Cinnamon but there's nothing for Cinnamon in the actual archive. I've gone ahead and hacked together a theme based on Windows 10 by B00merang Project, but made to use Solarized colours. Let me know what you think of it, feel free to include it if you so desire. I find it is just the thing to complete my Solarized Cinnamon desktop. I didn't see the other colour variants until just now, but it would be easy enough to make Cinnamon themes for each, I've only done the default theme for now.

Cheers!
Ryan

Icons request: XFCE

Hello, great icon theme!

Unfortunately, it misses some icons on XFCE and for some GNOME apps, such as:

Rhythmbox
GNOME Document Scanner (simple-scan)
Xfburn
lightdm-settings
XFCE Power manager
XFCE Color Profiles
XFCE About Me

Prints to illustrate the missing icons:

Slowdown when using the pack

The icons are making the computer really slow, but the CPU usage is not going up, anyone with the same problem?

Arc-Darkest-3.36 fills the gnome-shell log with shadow definition warnings

This seems be happening because of Arc-Darkest-3.36's gnome-shell.css. Can you please correct the relevant box-shadow definitions?

For reference, this appears to be the same issue: pop-os/gnome-shell-theme#69

Solarized Dark missing styling for events button (Gnome 3.38)

Hello, using Solarized Dark Green for 3.36 here. I recently updated to Gnome 3.38 and everything works except for the (I believe) newly added Events button. It'd be great if the theme could be updated for this so that the theme can tout complete 3.38 compatibility!

KDE System Tray Icons

I've been using your Mango colored icons on KDE for some time now, but one annoyance was the inability to theme the icons displayed in the Systems Taskbar. This is due to two problems:

  1. The icons in the taskbar are taken from ~/.local/share/plasma/desktoptheme/[theme name]/icons/ and defaults to /usr/share/plasma/desktoptheme/[theme name]/icons/ when not found.
  2. The icons are not traditional in the sense that each file contains multiple icons each with a unique ID.
  3. Some icons cannot easily be themed due to hardcoded paths and/or binary embeded icon resources.

See here: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Plasma5/ThemeDetails#Theming_Application_Icons_in_the_System_Tray

I have done the hard part of creating svg files that KDE recognizes:
https://github.com/twifty/Material-Black-Mango-Suru-TaskBar

Please feel free to incorporate them into your own project. Some things to note:

  1. The file format is near identical to existing icons (except for addition of groups with ID attributes).
  2. I've had to create a few new icons where they were either missing or visually incompatible with other icons in the file.
  3. Only Mango color scheme is applied, but a "search and replace" of fill="url(#oomox)" can easily fix that.
  4. All icon sizes (except for osd.svg) are 16px (KDE will resize depending on taskbar/DPI size).
  5. Important - Inkscape fails to render correctly!

Regarding Inkscape: Many of the files use <use href="#sth" />, Inkscape can only render <use xlink:href="#sth" /> and KDE can only render the former.

Message tray area has poor contrast

Q A
OS Ubuntu 20.10
GNOME Version 3.38.1
Windowing System X11
Theme Solarized-Dark-Cyan 2.0.3 / Solarized-Dark-Cyan-GS 2.1.7

I've installed each of the Solarized-Dark-Cyan and Solarized-Dark-Cyan-GS themes, and get the same results. The general effect is perfect... except when it comes to the Message Tray area:

gnome-shell-solarized-dark-cyan-message-tray

Problems

  • Text for messages in the message tray is too dark (zoom into the image so you can see it; it's black on base03; hovering gives base02 as the background, but it's not much more readable).
  • Most of text for the calendar/event/clock/weather backgrounds is too light (it's base3 on white). Interestingly, hovering over the world clocks or weather panels gives the contrast I'd expect (the background goes to base0, which has perfect contrast).

Suggestions

  • Make the text for the messages in the message tray either white or base3 OR make the message background base0 or base00.
  • Make the text for the calendar/event/clock/weather backgrounds either black or base02 OR make those backgrounds base0.

GPLv3 License

Hi, I think it would be good if this repo or branch had GPLv3 license to make it fully FOSS. What do you think?

Git Merge Conflict Messages in XMP Files

In the Solarized-Vivid theme for XFCE, the following XMP files have git merge conflict markers left over in the text. This leads to some of the colors not matching what they should be.

Discrepancy between colors top bar

Hi there!

I love the abyss-deep theme! i'm running it on ubuntu 20.04. I have a minor annoyance that would be grateful if solved!
The entire top bar has a dimming feature, but its too dark to see properly. when mouse hovering, the color is fine and should be like that the whole time! Also, the app-indicator icons don't deem, so the discrepancy..check the prints:

App indicator -> see, the discord icon is visible and ok! because its not being affected by the dimming effect. the other icons are too dark.

the entire bar is like that:

print -> is it possible to disable the dimming, so the entire top bar is like the discord icon color?

thanks, cheers!

Ubuntu 20.04 separater too large

I got the latest version from here and moved the files to /usr/share/themes/Arc-Darkest.

I noticed that some of the elements are rendering with weird padding issues. Please refer to the screenshots. How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Material-Solarized-Suru++: Some panel icons don't change in Cinnamon

I'm using Material Solarized Suru++ icon theme on Arch Linux with Cinnamon DE. All other icons look consistent, but some panel and tray icons, including printer, battery, wifi, guake and notification, do not change on applying the theme. How can I make them all change to look consistent with the rest of the panel?

Source files?

I was interested in forking this repo, do you use any sass sources files to generate css files or do you just hack assets and css directly?

Gnome 3.36 Messed Up Menu

I've been using the Solarized-Dark-Magenta theme, but after upgrading to gnome-shell 3.36.0 some menus are a little bit "messed up" and ugly, especially at the two places shown in the pictures. I'm on ArchLinux, Gnome on Xorg. I tried to disable other gnome extensions but this problem remains.

Material-Black-Pistachio-Suru does not change panel icons

I love these icons, thank you!

It would be even cooler, if the panel icons for sound, network, battery, etc also would appear in that scheme.
Currently they are (still?) light grey. Only Blueman and one of the applets/spices are correct colored.

See here:

The color pickers icon was changed manually as it provides such a possibility.
I saw that there are pretty cool icons in the according folder, but obviously they are not used.

Using Manjaro Cinnamon.

Missing checkboxes in Material-Solarized

Checkboxes are not displayed in gtk applications.

The example shows two checkboxes not displayed for Show Hidden Files and the Sidebar toggle in nautilus (gnome-files 3.32).

The debugging grid shows the empty tiles.

I am running:

  • GNOME 3.32.2
  • gtk3 1:3.24.10-1
  • gtk2 2.24.32-1
  • gtk-engines 2.21.0-4
  • gtk-engine-murrine 0.98.2-3.

I really like the theme so far. But the missing checkbox feature is a dealbreaker for me. Please let me know if I can assist in any way to resolve the issue.

why is it so big ?

Theme: Arc Darkest

On cinnamon, why the preview is so big ?
Is the theme really like that ? because it's not that great :(

image

also, any plan on a normal version (just dark and not darkest?)

Why icons are so foggy?

I use "Punk-Pain-icons" icon theme, these icons are very cool, I like them, but they display so foggy in 'show applications'(I don't how to describe it, but I will sent a picture). Others icon themes, just like "McMojave-circle", are OK. Can you solve this problem ?
My system is "Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS", GNOME Shell 3.28.4.

some small problem with the Dash to Dock extension

Schermata da 2020-05-19 01-12-08

Great theme, I'm using Solarized Dark Blue 3.36, but with the extension Dash to Dock it often happens after an upgrade or uninstallation that this bar becomes white.....

I only happen with this theme, so I do not think it depends on the extension!!!

Readme unclear

Borders for xfce4-notifyd popups?

I was wondering if you can add boarders to the xfce4 notifications? Without them, the notifications blend right into the applications. Also, it would be nice if the background was base02 background highlights.

Thanks in advance!
