rubyberlin.org's Issues

Bump Dependencies

Not really a security issue, but somebody should at least look at this:

Rug-B?

Is Rug-B an offical project of the Ruby Berlin e.V.? I didn't find it on the website.

Add english translation

Whereas the original site lacked all kinds of content. The revived one #57 lacks an English translation. I'd be happy if anyone wants to help with translations.

Add mission statement at the top

We should add a small explanation at the top of the page that explains what Ruby Berlin e.V. is and what it does. And we need to explain that the "Berlin" part of the name is there because of history.

Maybe helpful: hackspace pledge put together by members of Metalab

Hey,

Because a possible future "reference document" or general statement got mentioned in #19, I thought I'd reference The Hackerspace anti-Discrimination "Be Awesome To Each Other" Pledge put together by a group of members of @Metalab, Vienna's best-known hackspace (including myself).

It was written up in January 2013 following a huge get-together at our space to discuss issues of sexism, inclusion of minorities and safe spaces following sexist incidents at #29C3 in Hamburg (documented by e.g. @Adainitiative in this blog post).

As hackspaces, programming communities and indeed probably all IT-related social gatherings suffer from the same/similar issues, this doc might prove helpful when putting together a larger statement. (Some more notes can be found in the PiratePad we used for collaboration.)
