DESCRIPTION

LOCat is a fancy Lines-Of-Code analysis tool.

SYNOPSIS

Define a .locat Ruby script in your project, e.g.

match 'lib/**.rb' do |file, line|
  case line
  when /^\s*#/
    'Comment'
  when /^\s*$/
    'Blank'
  else
    'Code'
  end
end

match 'test/**.rb' do |file, line|
  case line
  when /^\s*#/
    'Comment'
  when /^\s*$/
    'Blank'
  else
    'Test'
  end
end

Then run locat, e.g.

$ locat -o locat.html

The config file can also be located at etc/locat.rb or config/locat.rb.

locat's Issues

Ruby errors

Two errors:

gems/locat-0.1.0/lib/locat/template.rb:67 - can't convert nil into String could be fixed with a to_s

gems/locat-0.1.0/lib/locat/gitloc.rb:85 - undefined method 'to_date' for Fri Jul 08 16:26:48 +1200 2011:Time

Separate Ratio Totals Chart

Should make the Ratio Totals as separate chart. Maybe make it a selectable option at the bottom near the chart type.

Doesn't depend on grit

Installed it on a machine that didn't already have grit installed. Upon running it I got a require error for grit.
