.emacs.d's Introduction

.emacs.d

My Emacs configuration.

Usage

Currently I’m only using this configuration on OSX, but nothing should break (in theory) on other platforms that Emacs itself supports.

First, install Emacs through Homebrew:

brew install emacs --with-cocoa --with-imagemagick --with-librsvg

Then make sure the emacs executable and starting from Spotlight works (you might have to brew linkapps emacs or do some copying to get everything working properly).

Then clone this repo to ~/.emacs.d and start Emacs. First startup will take time since it downloads and installs all the required packages.

Updating packages

M-x list-packages then press U to mark upgrades and x to execute the actions. You might want to restart Emacs after finishing.
