dadsresume's Introduction

Dad's resume

My dad is 92 and we just put him in a home. I have been clearing out the house and found his resume and skills (application letter) from 1980. In case anyone is interested in what one particular old timer programmer did.

dadsresume's Issues

I knew Rich Siegel!

My stepfather was part of a developers' association in San Diego, I don't remember the name of it, and I used to go occasionally. I met Rich Siegel there several times.

I wonder if your dad remembers Marty Einhorn (stepdad) or Dusty Rhodes, or Dick Storch, or Anita Tanke -- that's all the names I remember from back then.

A thought

I like to think that some of the code your dad wrote is still in production (or at least has been longer than I'm on earth), while most of the stuff I wrote in the last 3 years will be soon rot and will disappear along with the virtual machine it's running in

What did you blackout, pg2

Curious what you blacked out on pg 2, what that is SSN?

If the SSN, so ironic how different things were back then.
