rustc-perf-collector's Issues

Tracking instructions in addition to wall time

The wall time is pretty noisy over time (sort of expected), so I'm curious if counting instructions may help!

I'm thinking that perf stat could be used here as the way of counting instructions/cycles/etc info.

Explicitly set CPU affinity?

I wonder if we could benefit a bit from setting the CPU affinity to ensure that we're locked on one core, and maybe also raise the priority of the process to ensure we're the only process running on that core?
