You can read the raw XML the direct but hard way by creating an XSLT document that will format it into HTML, plain text, or any other text format desired.
However, much easier would be to read one of the existing formatted versions. If you own InDesign, you can read the .indd files in the repository directly. There are versions translated to HTML and hosted online by third parties (“Dungeon World Gazetteer” in my site of choice because it has more correct formatting than others I've seen). You can also get the PDF or paper book formatted versions by purchasing them through http://www.dungeon-world.com .
