The ${dimension} only works for signs, not players. It may work for commandblocks. but we don't have any of those.
This is an extract from the console:
13.04 12:59:06 [Server] Server thread/INFO Player Turtles2018 used command: /trigger back in ${dimension}
13.04 13:00:01 [Server] Server thread/INFO killerbean27 has reached the goal [Rock Bottom]
13.04 13:03:20 [Server] Server thread/INFO Sign in: minecraft:the_end at X: -31 Y: 2 Z: 288 executed command: kill @e[type=item,distance=..10]
As you can see, it just shows ${dimension} instead of saying the dimension when Turtles2018 runs the command. But the sign says that it is in the end.
