warren's Issues

DPL-nnn [BUG] Warren::Handler::Test documentation is hard to read

Describe the bug
The rubydoc.info docs https://rubydoc.info/gems/sanger_warren/Warren/Handler/Test are generating an iframe for each of the useful methods section. This is clunky and hard to read. If there isn't a nice way of inlining the documentation for each method here, links would be preferable.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:

  1. Visit https://rubydoc.info/gems/sanger_warren/Warren/Handler/Test
  2. Observe hard to read documentation

Expected behaviour
The methods in Making assertions should be easy to read, and not be obviously inline frames repeating content just down the page. Basic links might be fine, or even losing the section entirely, after all, it is all just a little further down the page.

GPL-633 Event warehouse should have same recovery and error handling of unified WH

This represents the warren work required for sanger/event_warehouse#77

Original issue:
User story
The event warehouse failed to auto-recover following database loss. This behaviour is already in place in the unified warehouse. We should probably extract out daemonization and error handing into its own gem, to ensure all our consumers function in the same way. This could unify consumers in:

  • Event WH
  • Unified Warehouse
  • Sequencescape
  • Warehouse 2

While the unified warehouse is probably most advanced feature wise, the Sequencescape consumers have an element of configurability that might be useful to extract, or at least take inspiration from.
