I checked GitHub for ai2svg.py, and there seem to be only two versions of that script.
There are about 4 copies of this one (original author):
https://github.com/hanwen/misc/blob/main/ai2svg.py
and then there is that single instance of the one you are hosting here:
https://github.com/sapphire008/Python/blob/master/image_processing/ai2svg.py
According to the info in your file though, you are not the original author ... so I don't know how much interest you have in improving it...
either way, I just wanted to create a link between the two files, in case someone, someday wants to merge them, if that makes sense.
so.. just in case you are interested. I have no acute need for an improved version myself, although we come about .ai files at times, and generally want to make them more open-sourcy, by converting to SVG.
