I really don't think it's a good idea to make the image sources curseforge or reddit because those can be easily deleted and can harm the extension. In my opinion, they should be static images you uploaded (for ex. to imgur), with the originals credited in a comment.
I'm in the beta channel for some months now and with the last windows update it updated a lot of apps (maybe edge too) since beta and dev channels were temporaly merged, I hope that this is just a windows dev channel fluke
The worst thing is that this extension has been removed for violating something with chrome web store so people won't be able to get it anymore and secondary to that is i've been having issues with the extension forgetting I chose Celsius seemingly at random.
Hey bro, I don't think it's entirely functional, as you see here: it's showing that it's only clouds but in bottom right corner you can see it's raining. Idc about that 1ยฐC. Only about the weather.
(Sorry for bad English, it's not my native language)
I think It would be cool to make it show a background based on the time of the day and the month, like for Halloween & Christmas.
like if it's hot outside but it's at night, then it should show a background of a desert at night or show Christmas lights in December!
Hi,
I'm thinking about contributing by adding requested features like random images and time-based (Christmas, Halloween, etc) images. I'll take these pictures myself, but @sawyerpollard can you tell me what exact config you used to take the images? Getting the shaders, graphics settings, etc right can make the images look a lot better by making all the images look similar.
I'll probably work on it and submit a pull request. I think the reason it's doing this is that the line spacing is set to 0. Also, from my testing in dev tools, the Minecraftia font is weirdly offset upwards.
Loved this extension for a while, and so happy to see it back in time for Christmas with the new night images as well. Is there any way to drop you some money as a present? I appreciate you linked the shader and texture pack devs but I want to give you something for developing the extension and taking the pictures themselves :)
The secondary description can't be translated, for example in the screenshot "drizzle" is untranslated and in the english locale there isn't drizzle anywhere
porting to firefox shouldn't be to hard given that both chrome and firefox have very similar apis. I wouldn't mind porting if instructions to build are given
The extension can be installed without a problem on Opera GX. The thing is, it just doesn't work.
I think the problem might stem from how they handle the new tab pages. There are sooo many options for it that although it originates from Chromium, it doesn't resemble it one bit. Thing is, there's virtually no info about this predicament on the web because (I guess) it rarely happens.
Hi, Brave is using Chromium too like Chrome. I can use all extensions in Chrome web store but MineWeather isn't show weather and its loading forever. Can help me please.
