Does a point belong to a polygon function

I’m building a Flutter app that needs to analyse location(lat, lon) and tell if this location is a water or a land. I want it to work offline that’s why I’m planning to embed a shapefile with the coastline polygons. File can be taken here: https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/data/water-polygons.html (Simplified polygons).

Is there a method in your library that can be used to do what I want?

Can't read geometries from the file (stream is empty)

I'm trying to read geometries from the OSM maps shapefile. Stream is always empty. Shapefile attached (downloaded here: https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/data/water-polygons.html)

      final stream = shapefile.geometries(
        File("assets/osm-shapefile/simplified_water_polygons.shp").openRead(),
      );

      stream.map((feature) {
        print(feature); // this code block never reached
      });

Example usages would be helpful.

I am converting a fully functional web application to flutter so it can be deployed on all platforms. In the application a user can "upload" json, geojson, or a zipped shapefile as seen in the image:

I have upload quoted above because there is no real upload happening in the current web application, all of the parsing is done on the client side using js, then displayed on a map, where I can later get the coordinates to use for analysis. I'm wondering if you can add some example usages of your package and possibly include one where a user selects a shapefile from their device.
