gin's Issues

Missing Licence

Hey Sean B. Palmer,

nice python package. But to use legally in a commercial and non-commercial environment this package need at least a licence file. If anybody should be able to use it without restrictions please provide a MIT Licence: https://mit-license.org/. Just copy the text and add it to the LICENCE.rtf or LICENCE.txt file. (Other licences like: LGPL, BSD-3, Apache-2.0 work also well but are more complicated).

Thanks :)

Not working while running inside a Docker-container

Not sure if the Error has something to do with Docker or not, But it's not working inside a container.

Here's my Docker configuration

FROM python

WORKDIR /app

RUN pip3 install gin

COPY . .
# If fact explicitly copything the ".git" dir
COPY .git .git

# RUN ls .git
# RUN git ls-files --stage

CMD ["gin", "./.git"]

This is the output

Step 6/6 : CMD ["gin", "./.git"]
 ---> Running in c4da1c92b62d
Removing intermediate container c4da1c92b62d
 ---> 809da299c514
Successfully built 809da299c514
Successfully tagged ritwik310/random-py-test:latest
error: couldn't find a .git/index file to use
use -h or --help for some documentation

Tried using volumes, same output.

docker build -t ritwik310/random-py-test .
docker run -v $(pwd):/app ritwik310/random-py-test

Any insights??

if meet trouble

in line 21, change
f = mmap.mmap(o.fileno(), 0, port=mmap.PORT_READ)
to
f = mmap.mmap(o.fileno(), 0, access=mmap.ACCESS_READ)
can work well
