We are planning to separate the style preprocessing from the styleguide workflow altogether and let users handle the preprocessing themselves, using the libraries they feel most comfortable with, so in essence yes.

Our parsing process (we need it to grab the variables from code) is based on gonzales-pe
which does not support Stylus yet. The reason of it is that Stylus syntax is not very consistent. However we are in contact with both Stylus and Gonzales teams and it seems that next version of Stylus will be more solid for parsing which means that future Gonzales versions would support it and so will us.
