The text says:
'Translating each character of the word 'Interconnectedness' to its corresponding numerical value with the Gematria Primus 2013 and summing yields 772 (a prime). The song itself is 277.133 seconds long.'

I am quite sure that 772 is not a prime number.

There is a slide deck at https://slideplayer.com/slide/3778747/ (the site asks you to share it to be able to download, the easiest was to download it is to "share" via printing it, print it to PDF, then download) featuring the decoy duck, without captions.

Unfortunately there is no info about the creation date on the site (only "more than 6 years ago"), and I do not have anything on hand right now that handles PPTs well (in theory there should be some creation date in the metadata).
The only thing I could figure out with the most sophisticated tool I have right now (less) is that it was created between 2009 and 2015.

Attached the extracted JPG from the slides.

What I can see at first glance:

• there is some yellow background where the captions are on the Cicada image, if the text was removed, it was done pretty carefully, either with some stamp tool, or some sort of content-aware filter, because the yellow color is well preserved without clearly visible artifacts
• there are less compression artifacts on the extracted image, esp. at the edges of the duck
• no EXIF
  

So there was this subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/a2e7j6ic78h0j) which 3301 used in one of their puzzles.
They posted a welcome picture (https://www.reddit.com/r/a2e7j6ic78h0j/comments/o3hoi/welcome/) containing their pgp signature if you outguess it.
So I found the original picture of it, by just reverse image-searching it on Bing - https://momza.blogspot.com/2011/04/house-hunting-with-slingshot.html
If you trust the blogpost date, the post is from April 2011 & therefore posted way before 3301's puzzle
