career-ladders's Introduction

Sup Nerds โŒ‘

I like making things, I'm a fairly curious person.

I make tools for developers, projects, and am on the Vue.js core team. I'm also VP of Developer Experience at Netlify, a company that makes it quick and straightforward to deploy sites. I'm also a staff writer for CSS-Tricks, and wrote a book on SVG Animations from O'Reilly. I'm a Frontend Master: I have courses on Vue, Nuxt, SVG Animation, and Design for Developers, all of the materials of which are open sourced on this here site.

You can sponsor my work through GitHub sponsors.

๐Ÿฅ‚ Cheers!

career-ladders's Issues

A space on the website for other organizations

Hello @sdras!
Thank you open sourcing the career laddering used in your org ๐Ÿ™Œ
Inspired by your laddering, @vishal-biyani came up with career laddering at InfraCloud. We would like to make that open source. Our career laddering is more around consulting i.e., based on the kind of work we do.
(Some content we have shared in past around the culture https://www.infracloud.io/blogs/category/culture/)

I think your website could be a great place for other organizations to make their career laddering available publicly. Maybe it could be a section like "Other Organizations" or something. What do you think about the idea? Would love to hear your thoughts and or any other ideas you might have for us.

Edit: we went ahead and hosted our career ladders here: https://career-ladders.infracloud.io/

Customer support ladder?

๐Ÿ‘‹ Hi. Dave Rupert here. Long time Drasnerd. I love the rubric you've developed here and have even started implementing it in my own company and startup.

Have you had any thoughts around ladders for customer support (aka "customer success") roles? Is that similar to a DX role? I'm imagining a less public-facing role, a person who fields emails, stack overflows, or social media support DMs.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Not time sensitive in any way.
