Cannot change script permission on unrooted Nexus 6P about buildapks

What you ran into are different permissions in different parts of the filesystem in Android, i.e.
/sdcard
/storage
/storage/external/Android/data/com.termux
and
/data/data/com.termux/files/home
all have different permissions settings​.

Try again in your home directory, i.e. cd
Then

apt update && apt upgrade
packages install aapt apksigner dx ecj git
git clone https://github.com/sdrausty/buildAPKs
./buildAPKs/buildMyFirstAKPinTermux.sh

I see my problem. I put the repo on /sdcard/. I should have put it in termux's data partition. Hopefully this post will help some one else too.
