Grub2 Theme Vimix

Installation

Arch Linux

install packages form AUR :

$ yaourt -S grub2-theme-vimix-git

Edit /etc/default/grub :

GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub/themes/Vimix/theme.txt"

Update grub :

$ grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

Fedora 28/29/32

install packages:

$ cd Downloads/
$ git clone https://github.com/Se7endAY/grub2-theme-vimix.git && cd grub2-theme-vimix
$ sudo cp -r Vimix/ /boot/grub2/themes/ 
$ sudo nano /etc/default/grub

Copy this at the bottom

$ GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub2/themes/Vimix/theme.txt"

Place # marker in front

$ GRUB_TERMINAL_OUTPUT="console"

Update grub:

$ sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /etc/grub2.cfg

Update grub for UEFI boot:

$ sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /etc/grub2-efi.cfg

How to config the antialias fonts?

Jump on item selection

When item is selected, it and item below it experience movement. Looks irritating. Do you happen to know what's the cause of it? Thank you.

I think you should put a nice font into vimix

Missing icon

My Windows 10 entry is missing an icon, and my Linux Mint entry shows an Ubuntu icon. How can I manually set what icon I want for each entry?

Grub gives an error…

…with line 10 to line 14 of theme.txt at startup.

terminal-left: "0"
terminal-top: "0"
terminal-width: "100%"
terminal-height: "100%"
terminal-border: "0"

There's no problem in the preview but when using this grub gives an error (I'll look it up next time I boot again). The cause is line 10 to 14 of theme.txt . Deleting these lines gets the theme to work again.

Update grub-mkconfig command for Fedora 29 in README

Update grub-mkconfig with grub2-mkconfig on 'update grub' section for Fedora 29.

Problem with menu icons

Hi,
Nice minimal theme for grub. I installed the theme on a multiboot system with different linux distributions (uefi mode) but when the grub menu appears at startup, the icons at each line do not match the logo icons of the different distributions but only a generic gnu-linux icon (a penguin) except that for the first distribution (main from which it is managed grub) with the ubuntu logo and not the correct one of linux mint.

What screen resolution?

Which GRUB screen resolution will be optimal for this theme?

Default GRUB and 1024x768x24 resolutions make it appear a bit stretched.

No "select" directory

Hi, I was downloading this awesome theme but I got an error:

OS: Arch
