Downwork is a 'clone-with-a-spin' of the popular freelancing site Upwork. Downwork is designed to reflect landing page, theme, and purpose of Upwork, however, the purpose is for finding an expert who can teach a class instead of an expert who can perform a task.

How to start a development environment

  • Clone project
  • npm install in both the backend and frontend folder
  • Generate & add .env SessionSecret
  • npm start in the backend folder
  • npm start in the frontend folder and wait for the browser to open
