Mathematical Expression Evaluator

image

5th year Applied Software Engineering group project. The project involved the evaluation of the following Mathematical Expressions:

  • Basic mathematical operations (+, -, /, *) represented in rad or deg’s.
  • Sin, cos, tan, etc. of a function powers (^), roots (to the nth degree), ln, exp and log.
  • Graph a function between given ranges. Input a Fourier Series Transform and plot the resulting waveform.
  • Perform Matrices operations and data compression (lossy, lossless).
  • Calculating combinations and probabilities.
  • Determine Sets, numerical and alphabetical (bit strings).

Languages, Technologies and Implementation Architecture used for this project:

  • Java, JavaFX, Eclipse.
