This is 4th year Software Development group project. The project is a Galway tourist application created for Galway restaurants, clubs and pubs.

Getting Started

Download and extract the zip folder here MEAN JS

Prerequisites

• NODE v6.10.2 LTS - Node runtime environment
• MONGODB Current Stable Release (3.4.3) MongoDB NoSQL database

Installing

Install MongoDB

Install node

Tutorial for installing Node and MongoDB here

Deployment

After you have node installed.
Install bower globally - npm install -g bower
Install grunt globally - npm install -g grunt cli
run mongo from cmd - mongod
Download and extract zip folder - cd into meanproject
npm install
grunt

open web browser and type : localhost:3000

Populate map with markers

Using json file, populate map with markers, containing clickable events proving info on locations.

ReferenceError: show_alert is not defined

show_alert is a function from an external .js file. Included in html file with <script> tag. It works when external code is included on same page. May be url but had it working at one stage so may be location of tag.

Add geolocation to map

Have map be centered around user's location upon load. Also, show user's location upon map.

Basic working shell (Front end talking to back end )

Hello Guys,

This week task is to create basic shell where front end talking to back end using all the technologies we need for our project .

Azure Deployment

Front end code is not connecting with the back-end MongoDB database on Azure. Cannot deploy entire architecture to Azure until its working.

Create data to populate map.

Create file holding json data, containing information for test markers for map.

Allow user to add custom markers to map.

Also provide the ability to save or delete created marker during creation.

Having Problem in authentication .

Guys i am facing some problems in authentication .

Have pin showing user's location be updated as the user changes location.

Problems showing data on html page ?

Guys if any one of ye has any idea how i can show json data on html page
