homebridge-cmd's Issues

Issue with ps4-waker

So I have some issues running homebridge-cmd with ps4-waker. When I use Siri to turn on the PS4 using ps4-waker, Siri always cannot get a response from the device. However, the PS4 does turns on. Probably the process is too long and Siri quit waiting for the response. Can you add a timeout, i.e. 2 seconds, so that it assumes the command is succeed if it doesn't throw an error?

Another issue happens when I ask Siri to issue off command while PS4 is turned off. It will throw an error. For my case, I set up the "I'm leaving" scene to turn off everything. If my PS4 is turned off and I issue the scene, Siri will throw an error and have trouble activating the scene.

Error: Cannot find module './accessories/CMD.js'

Hi,

I get "Error: Cannot find module './accessories/CMD.js'" when starting homebridge (if I configure an accessory using the "CMD" type).

i installed the plugin with "sudo npm install -g homebridge-cmd", no errors.
I can see files were created in "~/homebridge/node_modules/homebridge-cmd" but there is no file related to this in the ~/homebridge/accessories catalogue.

Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong, or forgot as prereq?

I'm attempting to use the plugin to control nexa devices via cmd line (and the command line part works fine already)

{
"accessory": "CMD",
"name": "nexa-1",
"on_cmd": "tdtool --on 2",
"off_cmd": "tdtool --off 2"
}

Compatibility ??

I know that this is named CMD as in it was built to work with windows. I want to trigger a terminal command in Linux and was wondering if this plugin would at all help me accomplish this goal. Will it work on Linux or even Mac? On Mac there is applescript so that is not an issue but on Linux there is no plugin other than possibly the ssh one to be able to launch terminal commands. I might be able to use the SSH and use the localhost but it would be easier just to use the "CMD plugin" if posit;e. Thanks for any input or suggestions!
