Can't raise weapon while rappelling

Installed the files on the server, command line is correct and we can all do the actions, but we cant raise our weapons during rappelling :/ any ideas?

edit: other mods I am using are: CBA, ACE3, ASR_AI3, Ares, CUP-Core&Maps, TFAR, TF47 Launchers, TRYK, ZEC (Zeus and Eden Templates)

Issue: Unable to lean while stationary.

Since the most recent update (13/09) players are unable to lean while stationary. While moving, leaning works as normal.

This has been reported on the workshop page as well, but posting here for completeness.

Server respawn bug

Co40 Domination mission with the mod! after we get killed there is no respawn option for us only end mission.

More feature requests

Seems like a good mod, but I have a couple of problems with it right now.

  1. It would be much better if rappelling required the unit to be carrying some sort of rope item in their inventory. Ideally, this would stop every unit being able to climb down the side of a building when it is unlikely for them to be carrying a rope or be at a pre-placed rappel position. An example of this being abused can be shown through a few of the missions I play with my groups. Occasionally we have civilians or enemy players as hostages in a mission and have them on a rooftop. With this mod enabled and without anything stopping a player from using it, the players could run off at any point when we weren't looking at them and start rappelling down the building, without us being able to see them.
    I understand that adding a rope item to the game would coincide with a major part of the mod; the fact that it can be run serverside without players having to run it, as well as requiring any AI to also need to carry rope items. However, maybe this could be considered for a separate, more "realistic" version of the mod.
  2. There is currently no stamina loss when using a rope. This may make more sense when you are rappelling down (though I would imagine it still would be somewhat straining to hold yourself in place) but definitely needs to be considered when climbing up the rope.
  3. Right now the mod seems to struggle with some certain keybinds. For example, I have my sprint bound to W+S so that I can slide my finger down from W to start sprinting. However, the mod doesn't seem to support this and I, therefore, cannot push off from the side of a building without changing my binds. Maybe integration with CBA keybinding would help?

Integrate CBA Settings

I'd like the CBA Settings System to be integrated into this mod, as it would give server owners and mission makers the ability to turn on/off this system on a per-mission basis.

It also most notably, does not create a dependency on CBA.

Wrong bisign

AUR_AdvancedUrbanRappelling.pbo.NIC.bisign is wrong and makes it impossible to use this mod on servers with mod checking.

Warning this addon breaks AI with disableAI "MOVE" on init!

Hello,

I encountered this behaviour in my mission and the other one from workshop.

Can i ask where your animations come from as there is some bones in all of them that are not supported with the A3 engine

UP and DOWN movement while hanging on a Rope Bug

As an Admin on our Arma3 Exile Server, we cannot descend or climb up while on a Rope.
As soon as we relog without Admin rights everything just works fine. we use Infistar on a Nitrado Server.

Grappling branch

Is there any possibility to release grappling branch? I've tried to build addon from your source, but for some reason the game doesn't detect the .sqf file. I'm gonna try and port the grappling functions to the stable build of your mod, but I've seen a lot of variables have changed and I will probably be unsuccessful, because I'm a noob at scripting Arma :/ Hope you can do something about that.

Feature Request

  1. Rope as Item-
    I'm trying to get my group(20+) to use this, we love the idea but we try to err on the side of realism and the main complaint is that you can rappel from anything, anytime, as many times as you'd like. Would it be possible to make it so you had to have a rope in your inventory that was consumed when you rappelled? So for each rappel you made you'd need a rope (you could store multiple ropes in your pack).

  2. Persistent ropes-
    Being able to place a rope down(via just rappelling yourself or a place action) and have others use the same rope would be neat too. Going off of this as well, someone at the top would need to undo the rope. Options to take rope (bring it in item form to the person undoing) or drop rope (dropping the rope item to the ground at the bottom) could make for some fun scenarios.

Couple of feature requests

Would it be possible to add something like a grappling hook which would allow players to climb buildings and also use it to get from one building to another.It could be fired from an underbarrel launcher. I couldnt find any pictures so

Feature Request

Recently today only i downloaded this mod from Steam Workshop and found it interesting. The only issue which i faced and has a lot to do with this mod is when it comes to rappelling down to the buildings where there are floors available like the Office Building eg. than starting from top it can only climb back up but i would recommend to get in 3rd floor also which i cannot get in . Can we have breaching command or scroll wheel which basically takes a long jump outside and comes in faster and land on his knees animation making it more realistic.
