tutil's Introduction

Hi, I'm Severen!

I am a systems developer at SiteHost and a mathematics and computer science graduate from the University of Canterbury.

My interests include:

  • Programming language theory, design, and implementation
  • Logic, type theory, and category theory
  • Abstract algebra

I am an avid user, developer, and supporter of free and open source software, and as such endeavour to release as many of my projects as possible under such licences.

You can contact me via email at [email protected] or on Discord at severen.

tutil's Issues

Features Tracking Issue

This issue is for tracking the status of planned features that are to be implemented.

  • #2 Implement terminal output paging.
  • #3 Implement terminal ASCII and Unicode tables.
  • #4 Implement system detection utilities.
  • #5 Implement command detection utilities.
  • #6 Implement text manipulation.
  • #7 Implement terminal progress bars.
  • #8 Implement terminal spinners.
  • #9 Implement user input prompts.
  • #10 Support Windows.

Use rustfmt

There are currently a couple of nits I have with the way rustfmt does things, but once they are resolved we should move to running on Travis CI for automatic validation of code style.

Support Windows

It would be nice to have Windows support for most of the functionality provided.

Setup CI for FreeBSD on Travis

As FreeBSD is intended to be a first-class platform for Tutil, it's only fitting that CI tests are run on FreeBSD in addition to Linux, OS X, and Windows.

Possible inspiration could be rust-lang-nursery/libc's CI infrastructure/setup.
