I have one of these built with the ESPKey, a Maxiprox 5375, and the battery pack you linked. While I do not have it built out as a gooseneck, I do have it in a mobile form hiding in a thin laptop bag. The best range I can get is about a foot. Perhaps there is more info in your video of your talk from DC30, but until then, how are you getting 6FT out of it?

This battery pack is 12V output, whereas the 10 AA / 1.5v output per battery power bank I had installed in my own version got to about 15v and had a bit better range. What am I missing?
