A TurtleWoW DB extension for pfQuest

pfQuest (turtle)

This AddOn is a pfQuest extension, which adds support for the TurtleWoW Private Server. In order to run this extension, the latest version of pfQuest is always required and only enUS-Gameclients are supported.

Notice: Issues and bugs like "please add quest XYZ" and all other content requests will be silently ignored. This is, because the data is not manually added, but depends on the Turtle-WoW team to release their database to a trusted person that can produce pfQuest-turtle builds.

If you wish to contribute, please feel free to send a Pull Requests.

Install

The latest version of pfQuest is required for this module to work.

1. Download pfQuest-turtle
2. Unpack the Zip file
3. Rename the folder "pfQuest-turtle-master" to "pfQuest-turtle"
4. Copy "pfQuest-turtle" into Wow-Directory\Interface\AddOns
5. Restart Wow

Pfquest showing dependency missing

I extracted in downloads, renamed folder to pfquest-turtle (i tried just pfquest but it did not load add-on when I did this). Add-on shows but says dependency missing. Any fixes?

Once Upon a Sheep tracks objective as quest hand-in

The quest "Once Upon a Sheep" incorrectly tracks the objective as the quest hand-in NPC, in addition it does not track the sheep unit correctly.

Reports of Dustwallow objectives missing

Quest ID: 40415

The quest does not track where to go. It requires interacting with two NPCs

1. 60729, giving 60602
2. 60730, giving 60603

Outside of this, the quest tracking works correctly as obtaining both reports correctly points you back to the turn in.

[Turtle command: /db chests] Issue: Map & minimap nodes missing some chest spawn locations in db

Issue: I have found solid chest spawns in Turtle that don't don't show on minimap nor map, when /db chests is used (looks like its an old db we have?). Don't know of a way to broaden the pfquest-turtle db to include these samples below like gatherer's can grow.

Question: Is there a way to introduce additional spawn points into my local client db sanely? Or is there a way Under Controls section, I don't see an ability add a spawn node.

[BUG] The Harvest Golem Mystery

[Feature Request] Update the pfQuest-turtle database to patch 1.17.1 of Turtle WoW

This Turtle WoW 1.17.1 patch has just been released today with a bunch of new quests, units, objects and items that aren't in the current pfQuest-turtle version.

"Gnoll Bounty" (TWoW Quest 60042) Has Been Updated

Issue

Quest 60042 of the Turtle WoW quest database is no longer "Gnoll Bounty" but instead "Culling the Riverpaw".

Its quest text has also been changed.

Reproducing the issue

Prerequisites

• The latest version of pfQuest for Vanilla
• The latest version of pfQuest-Turtle

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Log into Turtle WoW. Bring a Level 6 character to Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forest.
2. There should be a gold exclamation mark for the NPC Terry Palin with one quest.
3. Talk to the NPC and accept his quest.

Expected results

The quest should be named "Culling the Riverpaw" and the exclamation mark should turn into a gray question mark.

Actual results

Since the database is using the quest's old name, "Gnoll Bounty", and old information, it does not count as accepted nor completed when finished.

Custom quests not displaying on map

For example the quest of the sheeps in elwyn forest, wouldnt be tracked on map even tho in database of addon i could specificly select the sheeps to be tracked and it even tracked the many kinds of sheep including the one needed for the quest that was a special one (friendly target).

Im using latest version of both pfquest and tw mod for it.

Localisation issue

When using the game client with a locale other than enUS, an error occurs with an empty localization table.
The solution in the patchtable.lua file is to change the code section:

Restoring the Ley Lines does not track objective

The objective for this quest is not tracked. You are required to interact with the object "Ashan Stone".

Similar to issue #90 you are required to then interact with the same stone as there to hand-in the quest to the NPC. As this is the follow up quest to that, perhaps a special tracker for that may be unnecessary.

The Way-Stones of Old tracking is confusing

This one is perhaps less of a bug, but I am unsure where to report it.

While the tracker correctly tells you where the hand-in NPC is, it is quasi impossible to reach under normal circumstances. You are required to interact with the object "Way-Stone of Eldarath" to reach her.

Hi, is there a way to distinguish the new quests added in this update from the old ones by any chance? I can't find a list or a way to sort the database for them and I'd like not to check every zone manually.

Astranaar/Feralas Quests Missing

I picked up all the quests I could at Astranaar/Feralas and none of them show up on the map. I went to Feathermoon and all those quests show up just fine.

Example quests: The Grimtotem Plot, Woodpaw Disarray, Chimaeran Task, The ruins of Isildien.

Order of Goblin Hunter Pet Taming Quests is Incorrect

Issue

The tracking of Quests 80331 through 80334 of the Turtle WoW quest database is somewhat out of order and incorrect.

Reproducing the issue

Prerequisites

• The latest version of pfQuest for Vanilla
• The latest version of pfQuest-Turtle

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Log into Turtle WoW. Raise a Goblin Hunter to Level 10.
2. Go to Razor Hill in Durotar. Talk to Thotar and accept the quest, "The Hunter's Path (Goblin)".
3. Walk over to Viz Fizbeast. Turn in "The Hunter's Path" and accept "Taming the Beast (Goblin)".

Expected results

Once "Taming the Beast" begins, the arrow guide should tell the player to go out and tame a Dire Mottled Boar.

Actual results

For some reason, the quest skips to the next one and tells the player to go out and tame a Surf Crawler.

Further details

This seems to go on for the entirety of the quest line. For example, once the player gets the Surf Crawler quest, the arrow points back at Viz and the map and mini-map both register the quest as completed. Despite that, there are still target dots on the map for each step. It's just the arrow and the quest progress map icons that get confused.

AQ Commendation Quests superflous

As AQ is already open on turtle-wow, these npcs no longer exists, and consequently neither do their quests and should be purged from the database. This can likely be most easily achieved by clearing the quests npc out with a blank overwrite.

The Shield's Owner not tracking objectives

The quest does not track where to go. It requires interacting with three NPCs

Outside of this, the quest tracking works correctly as obtaining all reports correctly points you back to the turn in.

Crumbling Allies missing tracking on one objective

Item: 60250 at a 10% chance

The quest Crumbling Allies is missing the tracking for only item 60250, off of NPC 40176. with a drop chance of 10%

Harvest Golem Mystery: Incorrect quest item referenced

Please, provide a clear description what the bug is:

On the quest "The Harvest Golem Mystery", the part where you are sent to gather "intact runes" the pfquest-turtle addon seems to display the wrong information as it references "cracked rune" on the quest where it should reference "intact rune" as can be seen in the following screenshot.

Steps to reproduce the behavior with as much detail as possible:

1. Accept the quest part of "The Harvest Golem Mystery" where you are sent to gather intact runes.
2. Make sure to have the pfquest-turtle addon installed.
3. Observe as the cracked runes are referenced on the quest part where intact runes should be references

The drop rate for intact runes are 40% but for some reason pfquest-turtle references the cracked runes which have an 80% drop rate. Therefore, what should be happening is that pfquest-turtle should reference the correct item in the database.

"Into the Uplands" does not track turn-in NPC

Sailors Innovation does not track Objective

Quest: 40142

While the quest correctly tracks the kill trackers for the Juicy Crawler Legs, it does not track the Pinch of Salt.

You can acquire item 60207 from NPC Chef Jenkel - 91950

NOTE: Chef Jenkel's name does not seem to properly appear on the database, but this ID comes up for his name when searching

Most quests have weird offset on the map

Incorrect position marker for Angus Stern

Angus Stern seems to be erroneously listed as being located at around 41 89 in SW, instead of his actual location of 51.8 93.6. Perhaps this was his location in SW before the Harbor?

Error with /db mines command after update

After today's updates, /db mines command throws errors while placing only a few truesilver nodes on the map.

Recreate:

1. Delete old pfquest-turtle folder and unzip/rename/update with today's release
2. Delete WDB folder
3. Login
4. Try '/db mines' command
5. Receive error and notice map non function

Qests 80261-80265 have incorrect coordinates of inspection points.
Looks like the coordinates are for Stormwind without a port.
