Within PowerBI I'm getting the following error:

I've managed to create the Power BI Report, but when I press the Publish button, the only option I have is Workspace:

I ignored that and kept following the instructions, copying the link of the report to the Power BI webapp, but only the owner of the report can view it. All other users when they access the sharepoint site get this message:

In the Power BI site when I click the Share button, it says I need to upgrade to a Pro license, but nothing in the setup guide points to this. It clearly says that the minimium is a Power BI free license to publish the report.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

The dash board of tasks is useful to complete tasks, however it is not possible to see the related data form here. I found myself having to go to the lists and then trying to find a matching item.

When I try to add the application on my page this message appears on Application catalog.

All webparts are working just fine, but in fields that use Term Store always fail. ex: "Delivery Methods" if you write "email" the "Save" button is not activated.

While it is possible to select specific view of the Tasks web part when creating a "regular" page (...GDPRActivityHub/SitePages/Forms/ByAuthor.aspx -> New),
this functionality is not allowed when editing GDPR Dashboard group page:
Tasks can be added as either "Highlighted content" or custom "GDPR Dashboard" web part. Neither allows for the particular view to be selected.

Any suggestions?

I would expect that the error on page load is probably causing the second one.

I installed solution without any error. I've created pages and put webparts on them. But when try to add any event with those pages the save button doesn't work. I mean that when data is filled in, save button become active, but when I pressed it nothing happen. In browser console I just can see two errors:
One with GET

A small bug in the setup / build of the client solution.

gulpfile.js should include the following line
require('./gulpfile-update-manifest.js');

or else the command 'gulp update-manifest' to set the correct CDN URL won't work.

Hi, I tried couple of times on different tenants and different site collection but I am getting the same issue. I am able to reach till end but finally when I add a new webpart (Create Event) to any of the page, I get following CDN error;

• Dashboard shows "There are pending changes in your queries that haven't been applied" error under ribbon bar.

Expression.Error: the colum 'ID' of the the table wasn't found.

The webparts don't load and the error seems to suggest a malformed URL? should it have "publiccdn.sharepointonline.com" as part of the url for the CDN? or just your own tenant URL?

**I figured it might be the CDN-path of the URL on the write-manifests.json file (sites/CDNname/CDNLibrary). Because when I enable the public CDN in the tenant (through this guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/spfx/web-parts/get-started/hosting-webpart-from-office-365-cdn) the "*/CLIENTSIDEASSETS" does not change to "Sites/CDN/CDNFiles". I have tried to write both clientsideassets and sites/CDN/CDNFiles on the write-manifests file.

Any suggestions on how I can move further?**

Hi, me again. When running the script to provision the GDPR activity hub it gets as far as the Uploading Assets to CDN stage and then errors out as below:

There is no other information although from what I have read 429 can relate to throttling. However we are literally only using SharePoint Online to install this GDPR hub right now. Is there anything else it could be?
We have followed the setup instructions as provided and run the scripts using the commands as provided.
Any help would be appreciated.

When I try to open the gdpr.pbit file and enter the SharePoint site. It gives me an error Access to the resource is forbidden. I tried other Windows user credentials and the troubleshoot tips but it gives me the same error. I have a PowerBi - pro license. Whem I use Microsoft account and login with office365 account I get this:

Hi I am getting an error when I run the powershell script to provision the GDPR activity hub:

It runs through the script and provisons the templates but it gives an exception when creating the CDN site collection:
A parameter cannot be found that matches the parameter name RemoveDeletedSite

. Can anyone help with this?
Also how do I skip this step?

Whenever I get to bundling I get a ton of typescript errors saying properties like "props" and "state" don't exist on different types. By the end of the gulp bundle --ship, I got 645 task errors.
Also had to go through installing gulp in the StarterKit folder because it didn't find it otherwise. The PowerShell was opened in Administrator mode and all the previous tasks were done according to the documentation on setup. After the setup failing over and over despite trying different workarounds and installing everything in the aforementioned folder, we tried it out on a clean virtual machine with the same results.
Also, there is nothing in the setup documentation that would tell me to install @microsoft/sp-build-web despite it being required for the scripts to run.

I'm getting an error updating the PowerBI report. The Taxonomy query is trying to pull data from Items:TaxonomyHiddenList. It appears this table is empty and thus causes cascading errors for the rest of the queries.

Any idea of where a could look to resolve this issue?

I always get this error after "Creating artifacts on target site". The rest of the script works well. The Account I am using is also SiteCollection Admistrator and Global Admin. Any hints?

Deployed web parts ok, however when clicking on the save buttons nothing happens? no data saves and page does not respond, any ideas?

When I fill in all the fields in a new rquest form the Save button is enabled but after clicking on it notheting happens, same for the other forms

Everything else successfully completed, but it seems that because of the Apply-PnPProvisioningTemplate error things are missing which causes Powerbi to fail:

open up a new cmd as administrator and run this command:
npm install --global --production windows-build-tools
then
npm config set msvs_version 2015 --global
close all instances of shell, reopen powershell return to your directory where you are trying to run GDPR Activity Hub

I've had issue in creating the SPFx file. I've got around the 2nd error by manually creating the "\sharepoint\solution" folder in "GDPRStarterKit" but if I create "temp\deploy" it gets deleted whilst running the script.

Hi,

I build the solution according to the Setup guide. I've added the uploaded SPFx package and SharePoint displays it as valid and enabled, no erros found. Adding the new app to a new page from the organization apps worked fine and SharePoint shows it under site contents.

Following the guide along - I have to create a modern page in order to add the custom web parts but none of them is showing up. The Guide mentions CDN delays but even two days later nothing changed.

Any Ideas?

FYI, seems that this page does not point to Events list by default, probably just a slip.

How much hassle would it be to implement look-up for the fields related to the Taxonomy?, e.g.:

• Insert Request: Breach Type, Severity...
• Insert Event: Consent Type, Risk Type...

Now, very impractical for non-admin users.

When running the above line manually within a debug session in the PowerShell ISE the Enable parameter was expected to be included in the above line as a parameter

If you are seeing the error: "Node Sass does not yet support your current environment: Windows 64-bit with Unsupported runtime (57)"

Update node-sass to v4.5 or downgrade node to v6. There was never support for Node 8 in anything but release 4.5.3

Node 8 should be LTS Version

this is due to the build in the SharePoint Client Side pre-requisites and the issues with Node Version and Node-Sass compatibility - trying to figure this out took a while. Basically the following versions install by default which are not compatible:
Node version: v8.9.4
Node-sass version: 3.13.1

There's also an issue with Node-sass with having different versions in different locations so you need to check your install path "C:\Program Files\nodejs" and "C:\Windows\System32"

For any developer to be able to use this, please specify the license that applies here? I suggest MIT, along the lines of Office Fabric itself. But until that's clarified, using anything in here is a legal minefield.

@PaoloPia , what do you think should be suggested limit of data we can put in Events and Request list. If we are talking about enterprises, there could be millions of records they might log, do you recommend SharePoint list is good for it?

Hello,

Having an issue with NPM error. I saw another user was having issues with this, but I can't figure out how to fix.

The Event Assigned to is a required field on the list but not on the form. As I didn't fill in the Assigned to field the save button didn't enable itself. The code however is checking for this field to be completed.

The solution doesn't work in tenants where the root site collection is not English.

What is needed to either:
a) translate this to support an installation where the root site collection is in another language than English
-or-
b) make the solution language independent

Obvious places to start for translation are the xml files and LCID's...
