Front-end for installing Flatpak applications on SteamOS

VaporOS Flatpak Manager

VaporOS Flatpak Manager allows you to easily install software on SteamOS through Flatpak. It doesn't require a mouse and keyboard, since it can also be controller with a gamepad. It has been created using Python and the pygame engine.

Requirements

VaporOS Flatpak Manager requires the following python packages to be installed:

• pygame
• requests
• appdirs

And the following additional software:

• Flatpak
• The Liberation Sans Narrow font

Create Github Pages site

Add the ability to update Flatpak applications

Add python 3 compatiblity

Add button prompts

Show installion status on the application list menu

Make button promts controller specific

Initially the button prompts will be for the Steam controller and Xbox controllers.

Create shortcuts in Steam

Center content on application buttons better on high resolutions

On 1440p and 4K is looks a litle bit off.

Show installation progress

Make text on buttons not extend past the button on low resolutions

Use full screen mode

For development purposes and for SteamOS not running in full screen mode wasn't an issue, but the final application should run full screen.

Add more screenshots to Github

Add launch button for applications

Add support for more fonts

Currently when the font required isn't available the application still works, but the title on top looks off.

Add bind for switching to next letter in the alphabet

Prevent input from registering multiple times

Thumbstick and trigger input is registered too often

Rename VaporOS Flatpak Manager

The current name is too long and too specific to VaporOS. It also doesn't communicate that it only supports applications from the Flathub repository.

Add Arch support

This means the following:

• Create a PKGBUILD which can build a package for Arch
• The dependencies for the package are correct
• The correct name is used for the application
• The package is available on the AUR

Keep running in the background when launching an application

Currently VaporOS Flatpak Manager quits when an application is launched.

Install applications in seperate thread

uninstall appplications in seperate thread
