Hi Shawn,
today I installed your maxapp_kinux_installer. Everything was fine and I found the icon in the dash. But when I start Max Home, the icon disapear after a couple of seconds and nothing else happens.
It is a new Ubuntu installation with the 16.04.04 image.

Any ideas??

Mit Linux mint 21 funktioniert es 👍

läuft das Skript https://github.com/shawn-ogg/maxapp_linux_installer auch auf dem RasPi? Oder muß da noch zusätzlich etwas nachinstalliert werden? ExaGear ist gestartet. Wenn ich /opt/MAX_APP/start.sh im Terminal ausführe, erscheint die Anzeige auf dem Desktop "MAX! Anwendung im Browser starten". Der Balken wechselt bei Anklicken die Farbe und im Terminal lauten die letzten Zeilen:

at java.desktop/java.awt.EventDispatchThead.pumpEvents(EventDispachThred.Java:109)
at java.desktop/java.awt.EventDispatchThead.pumpEvents(EventDispachThred.Java:101)
at java.desktop/java.awt.EventDispatchThead.run(EventDispachThred.Java:90)

Danach geht es nicht mehr weiter, ganz gleich was ich versuche außer ich klicke auf das "X" oben rexhrts im MAX!-Bild. Dann wird start.sh beendet und das MAX!-Bild geschlossen.

Achja, MAX-Qube mit 6 Thermostatventilen, einem Wandthermostat und ECO-Taster funktionieren unter Windows sowie Linunx-Mint und -Pepermint einwandfrei.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit die MAX-APP auf dem RasPi zum Laufen zu bringen?

Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn du mir weiterhelfen würdest.

If I try to install, i get the following error :

maxapp_linux_installer.sh: 8: Syntax error: newline unexpected

What do I do wrong.
Java is installed : java -version
openjdk version "11.0.14.1" 2022-02-08
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 11.0.14.1+1-Ubuntu-0ubuntu1.20.04)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0.14.1+1-Ubuntu-0ubuntu1.20.04, mixed mode, sharing)

Not an issue, just a short note of thanks! Really helped, I was having trouble making the Windows one work on Linux.

PS: I had to adjust to make it work on Arch Linux, it was a bit messy. But worked :)
