Contributions are always weclome! That being said, given the overall size of this project I am not sure about this.

  1. f-strings could be used, but would not make any functional difference. Given the amount of fairly long formatted strings, I wonder if this switch is worth the risk of breaking some of the outputs.
  2. The use of plain print statements over logging is intentional, because it should be possible to just copy&paste all outputs and automatically have a somewhat complete statistical analysis.
  3. & 4.: The project is small with few committers. Such a pre-commit hook is overkill for such a small project.

I am against fully automated formatting, as this often also leads to ugly code, when the line-breaks are awkward.
