What does I2P need?

Structure means:

• What is the purpose of the meeting, who shall be there?
• Date/Time, like once a month, should probably be good for Northern America and Europe?
• Length, like 15 minutes or 30 minutes?
• How is moderation organized? Talk time limitations, like maximum 120 secs per participant over all.
• What is the technical platform? Video/Audio only? Exclude anonymous participants and text-only (irc)?
• How to manage topics? Github issues?
• How to organize notes-taking (like round-robin)?

Our Values

The Invisible Internet Project is a collaborative effort to prioritize privacy and security by design communication and censorship resistant technologies and a free to use network. The project is Free Open Source, and anyone can make use of the software, network and applications it contributes to or creates.

In order to to continue to strengthen the network against attacks, make the software more usable, and inform the
future of its tooling and development, we are providing a time and place for people working on the following to participate in community meetings.

Code of Collaboration

Be friendly and welcoming.

Productive communication requires effort. Think about how your words will be interpreted.

Remember that sometimes it is best to refrain entirely from commenting.

Be respectful.

Interpret the arguments of others in good faith, do not seek to disagree.

When we do disagree, try to understand why.

Derailing: stay on topic: if you want to talk about something else, start a new conversation.

Unconstructive criticism: don't merely decry the current state of affairs. Offer—or at least solicit—suggestions as too how things may be improved.

Discussing potentially illegal, offensive or sensitive issues is not tolerated.

We believe that healthy debate is essential to a healthy project and community. However, it is never ok to be disrespectful. We value diverse opinions, but we value respectful behavior more.

Our Standards

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include:

The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.

Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.

Public or private harassment.

Publishing others information without explicit permission.

Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Scope

These standards and values apply to designated the meeting spaces and when the Project Stewards have a reasonable belief that
an individual’s behavior may have a negative impact on the project or its community.

Enforcement Responsibilities

Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

Hello,

I am one of the organizers of Monero Konferenco. We had a few I2P community members at our last event and we would be more than happy to host an in-person meet up for the next one. We are currently in the crowdfunding process and it is highly likely the event will be held on 23rd-25th June 2023 at Parallel Polis/La Fabrika in Prague, Czech Republic.

Besides the social aspect of a meet up, we would welcome technical talks on I2P and/or hands-on training sessions on how to set up I2P, how to become a reseed operator, how to integrate I2P into an app, etc. You can find CFP submission form here.
