Running App Locally

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple steps.

• Clone this repo (have git installed)

  git clone https://github.com/siddharthroy12/recoded.git

• Install dependencies (have nodejs installed)

  cd recoded
  npm install # or yarn install

• Run

  yarn start

Fix dots in file name on export

File name does not show correctly when exporting the image

Add multiple files creation at same time

For creating videos of code.
If a person is working on a project and then there are so many files like app.js, Home.js and Component.js and while showing the codes in the video it will be good to create multiple files.

Simply adding a feature of creating a new file in the next tab and only one file can be active at a time.

I would like to work on it if you get the idea well.

No preview of gif and unable to cancel export

• There's no GIF preview so I can't understand how fast or slow my text will be
• There's no cancel button for Export VID and I have to reload the page every time I want to change something after exporting VID

Overall great product(I just discovered it and loving it as well)

Add custom fonts, fontsize, timing, timing functions for better customization

Also add possibility to make filename longer without line break.

Custom font not showing up in export image

I'll need to figure out why dom-to-image is not picking the custom font

Provide support for golang

There is no option to select golang from the languages.

Add support to export code as PDF

I really like your website, it's straightforward and beautiful.

As a user,

I want to export the code to a PDF file,

So people who view the exported code in the PDF file, can also select the text and copy it easily (not just to view, as in a PNG file).

The PDF size should be the size of the <div class="background background-color-2"> element (and not a regular page size (e.g. A4, A3...)).

Adding tests

I have been using your product, and it has been super helpful. I think the addition of tests will help in increasing the reliability of the product and ensure its functionality
