caniidle's Issues

Furious Horned Elite Horn Shots Calculation

It looks like the damage calculation in CanIIdle for Furious Horned Elite's Horn Shots is wrong.

In game max hit (magic style, 30% DR):

CanIIdle (magic style, 30% DR):

Wiki:

At first I thought that it was just combining the three hits into one big one (which would be wrong because Auto Eat can heal between the hits of Horn Shots), but that doesn't seem to add up to the correct number either, as that would be 397 * 0.6 * 3 = 714.6.

Regardless, unless I am missing something it seems to be calculating wrong.

Increased max hit on stun not being calculated

Doing the Air god dungeon with following stats:
930 hp - 48 dr (out of combat) - food treshold (tier 3) on 372hp

According to the tool I should be able to idle this dungeon but...
Aleron --> melee so 48 dr --> max hit = 363 --> no stun --> safe
Aeris --> ranged enemy so DR is X 1,25 = 60 --> max hit = 338 --> stunned max hit (+30% damage) = 440
(according to the Wiki page, the max hit is 780 BUT in game the max hit (normal attack) is 847 in the collection log/combat https://wiki.melvoridle.com/w/Aeris)

Aeris has a 20% chance on a ranged attack called Whirlwind:
"Launch a large avoidable gust of wind that deals 550 damage. On a hit, applies stun for 1 turn."
While a player or monster is stunned, they take 30% more damage. This is the crucial part.

If i'm stunned I receive 30% more damage (in this case for 1 turn) , that increases the max hit from a normal attack to 440 (847 normal attack * 0,4 from DR = 338.8, then with stun it makes 338.8 max hit * 1.3 = 440.44) which is more than 372 so Aeris should be able to kill me.

I assume this calculation isn't globally implemented for all the mobs with a stun effect?

Redemption prayer 1.0 changes

It seems like the Redemption prayer is now relevant

Changed the Redemption effect to: +20% Auto Eat Hitpoints Limit. Was previously: Heal +20% HP when your hitpoints fall below 10%.

So it seems like there should be a checkbox in Advanced for this like there is for the Wasteful Ring

I'm not sure exactly how it works as the auto-eat tooltip doesn't visibly change but I assume it probably invisibly changes the Auto Eat 3 threshold from 40% to 48%?

Incorrect max hits

With the rewrite of combat multiple max hits have been reduced or altered. Eg. Malcs' (Volcanic cave) max hit went up by 1 while Malcs' (Infernal Stronghold) max hit went down by +- 100. Atleast that's what I deduce from reading the patch notes combined with my personal experience.

Slayer calc is incorrect

Master Slayer . Ranged. Eat3. 71 dr +3dr from summons bonus. Plus 10% dr pot 970 HP died to Slayer task because sure said green not counting one enemy

Hoping can be fixed so other people don't lose gear or HC like me

Take into account player attack speed for stun bonus damage

The handling of stun is a bit wrong.

E.g. it seems like the Terran requirements (magic x 1020hp x 54dr) are based on "top damage attack while you're stunned". However, if one's attack speed is < 3.9/1.33 = 2.92, it's impossible to be attacked while stunned (3.9 for Terran's attack speed, 1.33 for his attack speed slow).

(An interesting side note is that if e.g. attack speed is 3, then to get dealt max damage, one would have to get hit by slow-stun-top damage in sequence, which has 0.15*0.2*0.1 = 0.3% probability, which could actually be "safe enough" for many people, when combined with the extra improbability of having hp in kill range and the top damage attack rolling on the high end. But that's probably out of scope for this project.)

wicked greater dragon's confusion damage calc

Confusion appears to use the player's base max hit (before combat triangle). In this particular example, I'm using melee, base max hit is 891, after combat triangle is 688.

688 x .75 x .7 = 361.2; CII shows 362

891 x .75 x .7 = 467.775; game shows 467:

CII should not be asking for max hit vs magic, it should be asking for base max hit. Besides, it already knows which combat style being used, it could have done the combat triangle calc itself instead of making the user do it.

I haven't tested if this applies to other similar attacks, e.g. furious horned elite's horn shots attack.

Combat Triangle in "Internal Suffering Mode"

Are you sure the combat triangle is correct in the new mode?

I selected dragons den, which is a dungeon full of melee hostiles.

According to the calc I need the least amount of DR with melee, followed by ranged and then the highest with magic.
If I understand it correctly, the new triangle is the opposite of the old one, so it should be ranged -> melee -> magic from least to highest amount of DR needed.

Another example: Hall of wizards, full of magic

Calc says magic > melee > ranged, I would have expected melee > magic > ranged (from lowest DR needed to highest)

I think the correct version is:

Calculation on Water God Dungeon

Hi,
Thanks so much for making this calculator, it's been very helpful! I did notice though that the requirement for the Water God Dungeon seems odd and might be incorrect. In my case (https://silberdrachi.github.io/CanIIdle/?totalHealth=1050&currentDR=71&autoEatLevel=3&combatStyle=Melee&gameMode=Normal&yakSynergy=None&wastefulRing=No&guardianAmulet=No&stunDamage=Yes ) it suggests 79% damage reduction, but I have zero problems idling it at 71%, and that is measured out of combat, so before the combat triangle comes into play. It also seems odd that I would need a higher DR than the next dungeon, one more difficult than the WGD.

Is this correct?

Died despite the calculator saying I can idle (Turkul Giants)

I double and triple checked my settings, i 100% should not have died. I also didn't run out of food.

Here's a Link:

https://silberdrachi.github.io/CanIIdle/?totalHealth=6100&currentDR=19&autoEatLevel=2&combatStyle=Melee&gameMode=Adventure&yakSynergy=None&wastefulRing=No&guardianAmulet=No&stunDamage=Yes

Is there something not taken into account? The Area is arid plains, which has -40% food efficiency, but that shouldn't matter, should it?

Add weakining calculations for magic style

When using magic there are 3 tiers of weakening curse you can apply, applying -5%, -10%, and -15% max hit to the enemy respectively.
Would this lower the base DR% needed to idle certain dungeons? If so can this be added to the advanced options?

Incorrect damage for Blue Dragon in Adventure Mode

In Standard Mode the damage of Blue Dragon is 168. Normally damage in Adventure Mode seems to be just multiplied by 10 but in this case the damage of the Blue Dragon is actually 1,688. It's probably just rounded down in Standard Mode. This is a small difference but it happened to be the difference between being able to idle it and not being able to for me. There was no death I just wanted you to know that some damages might be slightly different on Adventure Mode because it might be rounded down in Standard.
