Forked-path looks like it will be very useful, and I'm glad someone has taken up the mantle. But it looks like forked-path was forked from Orendorff path.py 2.0.4. There was a path.py 2.2 with additional features that are missing

The original web site is gone but you can still get the whole package from PyPI:

Notably, the div feature that allows you to combine paths like this

from path import path
prefix_path = path("/usr/local")
bin_path = prefix_path / "bin"

is missing. This is a problem for people who have installed packages that require path.py 2.2 and forked-path on the same system, because they both call themselves "path". They cannot coexist in a simple way.

Could you please make forked-path compatible with path.py 2.2?
