An example of building a container image with a custom kernel for use with libkrun and crun (krun backend).

• Git
• A Linux kernel build toolchain (gcc, make, flex, bison, etc.)
• Python 3 with pyelftools
• Podman

./build-kernel.sh

This clones libkrunfw, builds the kernel, and copies vmlinux to out/.

podman build -f Containerfile -t podman-krun .

podman run --runtime krun -ti --rm podman-krun
