I plan to try to follow in your footsteps -- on twitter, @enjoy_digital mentioned one can set up a multiboot bitstream so that a fallback bitstream is available to continue to be able to access the card through PCIe even if one screws up the operational bitstream upload. Have you been able to try this out?

I came across your repo when looking for M.2 enclosures compatible with the LitePCI core. From the pictures I can see you are using a Avolusion SSDTB900-PRO enclosure and you mention that it should work with any JHL6340/JHL7540 chip. In the same paragraph you list the ORICO M2V01-C4 as a possible alternative. It houses a JMS583 afaik which is a simple USB3.1 <-> NVMe bridge supporting USB Mass Storage Class Bulk-Only Transport (BOT) and USB Attached SCSI Protocol (UASP) 1

From your twitter post 2 I can see that the FPGA is connected through a JHL6540 to your host controller (again, JHL6540). How can you be certain that a JMS583 would work as well? It wouldn't expose the "raw" PCIe endpoint to your host.
