3ds_hb_menu's Issues

HB for 9.4.0-21U

Hi! A recent update was released to the 3DS V9.4.0-21U. Currently their is no support for this version. Will it be plausible to get it working for this version? Thanks!

Payload for Korea?

I have a korean console and I couldn't find a payload for region KOR. It doesn't exists yet? Is there a workaround to load home brew launcher with this launcher in a korean console?

Thanks!

EShop throws error code 007 -2404

I hope this is an acceptable place to put this. On the latest starter back as of (11/02) 4pm PST, connection to the eshop works perfectly. However well ever I try to download something the error code 007 -2404 is thrown.

Repository license?

I saw that the Readme at least grants permissions for copying and using the code with attribution of credit, but usually projects place a license in a separate, obvious file, like LICENSE or something similar. Something like one of the BSD license (3 or 2 clause one I think) may be a good match to the current permissions.

I will say, at least this you do give permission to use this code somewhere in the Readme. Most other 3DS repositories don't, and some just outright copy/steal code.

Support altering the brightness?

Seeing as many people boot the homebrew launcher from menuhax and in turn avoid the 3ds home menu, it would be very useful to have the ability to alter the screen brightness.
Just like we can alter it from DS mode on the 3ds (because we can't access home menu mid DS game), and (most?) DS flashcarts had this feature too.

Thanks

Help compiling

Trying to add a few tweaks to hblauncher, but I need help compiling it on Ubuntu 16.10. I have devkitpro and devkitarm installed, and zlib installed as well.

Hangs when attempting to load data from titles such as LoZ: Triforce Heros Demo

I recieved a few free demo codes from nintendo to try out Triforce heros and thought i might check out if it contains any savedata i could muck around with. When the launcher attempts to parse the game data, it just freezes at the red screen. This may have something to do with it being a demo title but i'm not 100% sure.
I just found it interesting and thought it should probably be reported.

If you only have a small amount of screenshots, scr_tool doesn't convert them

it says it is done straight away, without displaying anything on the top screen. the screenshot folder is emtpy when I check it on PC. there is, however, a raw screenshot file, though I do not know the contents, as I don't know how to convert it on PC.

SD card detection

It occured a few times : after removing the SD card or leaving an application, the HBmenu would get blocked on "error it seems you don't have any homebrew app installed ...".
When you remove the SDcard, it will loop between this message and the "No SD card" message.
The only thing left to do is to reboot.

zlib.h: No file or directory

I am trying to compile Homebrew, and I get this error in CMD

Idea for the browser branch

For each folder, maybe you could have it detect if the folder contains boot.3dsx or [folder name].3dsx. If the file exists, then have it act like an app in the master branch, but with the ability to press right to open the folder.

Japanese Bravely Second shows garbage as name under regionfree on US n3ds

More specifically, the title shows up as "Ōì¤Ōêū»«óÉ" which is obviously not correct. I can't say what it shows up as on a japanese 3ds, unfortunately - but this is obviously a character encoding issue. My best guess is either a) the game is JIS and it's showing as UTF8 or b) formatting title as ascii when it shouldn't.

I notice in the regionfree.c file that no conversion of character set occurs, and the info struct is directly filled with a pointer offset. Are localized game titles handled correctly?

Can't build with updated ctrulib

Make it compatible with latest ctrulib
so we can compile v1.1.1 ourself :)

For building latest 3ds_hb_menu you need "ctrulib commit b6e0555 (2016-04-09)"

Thanks

Option to hide folder

I would like the ability to hide a follder in the hbmenu by adding an empty file named hidden in the folder

Freeze when trying to start any Homebrew on SysNAND 11.1

I'm on 11.1.0.34E with A9LH and Luma and today I updated everything to latest version (SysNAND, A9LH, Luma, NTR, HBL, HBL-loader cia) and i can do everything I could do before I updated my SysNAND to 11.1, just HBL can't start Homebrew any more.
When I try to load anything the interface freezes and I have to reboot. If I loaded NTR before going into HBL I can still get into the NTR Menu though. (I tried with and without having NTR loaded.)
I also tried to delete everything from my microSD and just put A9LH and the contents of the HBL starter.zip on it but that didn't help.
Before the 11.1 update everything worked fine, but from what I've read HBL should work fine on 11.1 or is that wrong?

Argument passing not working with callBootloaderRunTitle_2x()

When launching a title under a certain title using the title browser, argument passing won't work as it is supposed to.

With current master, argc is set to 2 for some reason.

Also, adding this code for setting argv[1] won't properly work if the homebrew is boot using the title selector, but will work fine otherwise: #16

I tried solving this myself, but I was unable to. Even though the uses are limited, I think argument passing from HBL is interesting to define different boot parameteres (which could be added to the xml descriptor for example), but for now the best use would be passing the title ID under which the homebrew is running, for applications like svdt which can benefit from it.

In any case, it is something that's not properly working right now.

X: Return to Home Menu FREEZE

Using menuhax with robpin payload on NEW 3DS 10.6.0.31 EUR.
Return to home menu with no reboot just freezes so I have no way to access EShop without updating.

Edit: solved with downgrade to 9.2.0

9.9 issues with otherapp 2.5 payloads on oot3dhax

I know this isn't exactly the page to do this, feel free to close this issue whenever, but since this is the next best thing I could fnd, I will put this here:

There seems to be something wrong with the new payloads, not sure if it's an issue with em or the oot3dhax itself, it just crashes to home menu with an unreadable bottom & top screen, which is different to what happens with the 2.1 payloads. I already verified multiple times that they were the correct version, too. Most people are having issues with it, so I don't know if there are any specific versions that do actually work.

Sorry for the bother.

Netloader fails to boot 3dsx

As of dc6a438, netloader will hang on the *hax 2.5 debug screen, with the bottom screen blue. It works fine in the previous commit. I'm using menuhax on 9.2 (n3DS) as the entry point.

Yellow lower screen at 11.1.0.34E

I get access to HB with freakyhax, and when I try to lauch Braindump or Rutile Ruby Hack, the lower screen goes through red and other colors to get blocked in yellow. I re-installed all files and revised them, but I don't find any mistake... What should I do?
