MyPubIP is a simple extension that allows the user to view and copy the public IPv4 and IPv6 address, by using ipify.org services.
- Download the MyPubIP extension files to your local machine.
- Extract the extension to your Gnome Shell extension directory -
~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions
Once installed, the MyPubIP extension will display the public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses in the status area of the Gnome Shell. Clicking on the displayed IP addresses will allow the user to copy them to the clipboard.
The MyPubIP extension can be enabled or disabled through the Gnome Shell Extensions application.
To uninstall the MyPubIP extension:
- Open the Gnome Shell Extensions application.
- Find the MyPubIP extension in the list of installed extensions.
- Click the remove button to uninstall the extension.
