Publishing seems easy, but requires an API key.

The plugin works fine with Java projects but if you want to use it on Kotlin is not possible because in the class GradleScopePathProvider the path is hardcoded to "/classes/java/test".
Starting out with the plugin and ArchUnit in general, I performed the most basic setup as outlined in the readme - just wanted a default run, even with no rules.

I've recently upgraded ArchUnit to version 0.23.0 and the plugin to version 2.9.6. Aftee doing so I'm getting random crashes.
Here is how I run my tests:
gradle clean classes checkRules -q
50% of times I'm getting the following error:
Sometimes the exact error could be different (e.g. Failed to read rules). The rule file is also different each time.
I don't know whether this issue is related to the plugin or the framework itself - I cannot find these errors in project code

The current implementation always outputs:

Apologies for not submitting a patch, but it is a lot of red tape from my employer.
Because of the issue described in gradle/gradle#8213 with Gradle versions greater than 5.1, we had to downgrade the build to Gradle 5.0 as a workaround.
It would be nice to be able to build and run the release task (that includes signing) with latest Gradle version
The readme recommends:
to publish in local repo during tests, use gradlew -Dmaven.repo.local=.m2/repository publishToMavenLocal
But this cannot work because the maven-publish
plugin is not configured. Instead you get:

I was trying to use arch-unit-gradle-plugin
referring to the releases the latest version and found 1.1.0 to be missing in maven-central
I added:

I added dependency with that rule, I added it in dependecies as implementation type.
According to the readme custom rules can be used, much like the maven plugin: (although the use of "probably" doesn't inspire confidence!)
package your rule into a custom jar, add a dependency to this jar (probably with test scope) and declare the rule in the config
But when I try this, with my custom jar as a testCompile
dependency, I see a cryptic failure which turns out to be an inability to load classes. It looks like the rules are being load via the context class loader using shared code, but it doesn't look like any of the project dependencies are in the plugin's classpath under Gradle.
