natural-language-processing-panel's Issues

Clarify rationale for the coupling with Solid

Hi all,

I saw the creation of this repository, and would like to understand how this repository is tied Solid.

The README says:

extending Solid with capabilities in Natural Language Processing.

speech to text and vice versa, part of speech tagging, query pipelines for extracting and adding meaning, vocabularies, shapes, footprints, and the mechanisms through which these things (and others) work together to achieve natural language processing

However, I currently don't see how this fits into the scope of Solid itself. The Solid specifications govern interoperability between clients and servers, but it is unclear to what extent NLP requires such interoperability.

Don't get me wrong, NLP is interesting, and the relation with shapes is worthy of examination. But I lack an understanding of why it is a Solid problem rather than a Semantic Web or NLP problem in general.

An understanding of this connection could help finding the right people and requirements.
