Thanks for the excellent tutorial! One minor hiccup I noticed was that step 8 references a "#view" div which isn't mentioned in step 7. Given the easy and explicit nature of the tutorial it'd be helpful to mention this in step 7. Tweaking the sentence "Add an input element so people can select that profile:" and ensuing html would be recommended. Fwiw, I would've suggested a tweak via a PR if the tutorial source was available (mentioned in #3). Cheers
Has the benefit of a live demo

Requires
git checkout -b gh-pages
git push origin gh-pages
Then go to settings->branches and change the default
Greetings,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask for help but ....
I'm trying to implement the "build a solid app during lunchtime" tutorial from here - https://solid.inrupt.com/docs/app-on-your-lunch-break
I've reviewed and installed all of the files from the tutorial on my remote hosted Linux server.
When I hit the test app in a Chrome browser I can click the Login button, which launches the popup.html UI listing 4 potential IDPs to choose from (one being a choice to login to my website but ignored that choice... see attached debug doc )
When I click the IDP choice for - "Log in with Solid Community" nothing happens in the browser (same result when clicking all of IDP choices)
Tracing in the browser when clicking an IDP choice shows the calls to -
https://solid.community/.well-known/openid-configuration -and-
https://solid.community/jwks
both return an HTTP 200 with response data.
The browser Console shows the following 2 errors (please see also attached debug doc)-
Error: expected postMessage call for 'storage/getItem' to return a string, but got value null
TypeError: Cannot read property 'importKey' of undefined
Chrome Browser version - Version 68.0.3440.106 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Not sure how to debug this further.
Any assistance/advice is most appreciated.
Thanks !
I checked this out and ran it with XAMPP on windows in a chrome browser.
When i first load the page I see this in the console window.

I then click log in, choose login with custom provider, and enter my Web Id. I then click login and nothing happens.

should be $('#view).click(
instead of $('#viewer').click(
...
I was switching between grabbing code from the page and from github, the github version refers to #view
but the code on the page says #viewer
.
It's correct from step 10 onwards.
Wanted to try solid, so i used my little expres server https://github.com/scenaristeur/smag0UiServer
You are in my friends , it's ok, but clicking at your profile give me some errors in js console :
Some Cors error
Some Fetch Errors
I think a README would be helpful
What could be made clearer is the mechanism to create solid-auth-client.bundle.js
Hi,
https://solid.github.io/releases/rdflib.js/rdflib-0.12.2.min.js
is quite different from
https://github.com/solid/profile-viewer-tutorial/blob/master/scripts/rdflib.min.js
What is the most current? What API documentation? In the image
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/linkeddata/rdflib.js/Documentation/diagrams/rdflib_block_diagram.png
there is for the Fetcher, load, put, refresh, these are not all found in the rdflib's above
Any ideas why?
This is on chrome and on Edge the popup does not appear at all (no, its not a popup blocker issue).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
David.
Hi,
I think the tutorial here: https://solid.inrupt.com/docs/app-on-your-lunch-break - should have source put in this repo'. I'd like to be able to make PR's on it.
This file isn't working for me. VSCode lights up with tons of errors. At first glance it looks like a comment forward slash is missing. If I add a forward slash at the very beginning, that handles many of the issues, but not all. I'm trying to complete the lunch tutorial. Thanks.
