Xperia 1 Sony Open Devices

Hello! I'm from Russia. I would like to buy a sony xperia 1. I want to modify the standard firmware and for this I need to unlock the bootloader.
Unlocking the bootloader, as I understand it, is not possible on all models. How do I determine before a purchase in a store that a specific phone can unlock the bootloader?
Is it possible to unlock the bootloader on all sony xperia 1 or 5 phones that are sold in Russia?
Can I expect that the new sony xperia models that will be released in 2020 will also be added to the Sony Open Devices program?

Update build / flash instructions?

I was quite impressed with what I saw with the Open Devices problem, and decided to start exploring your platform for AOSP work. I haven't been able to get a working image built using the instructions provided. Any chance you guys could assemble a Dockerfile that yields images that successfully boot an unlocked Xperia 1? I'm iterating through various combinations of AOSP branches, Emma flashes, etc, but it's slow going and a lot of work for something that was otherwise documented so well.

AOSP 12 bootlooping after flashing the build.

Hi, first of all thank you so much for making clear instructions for AOSP 12 build. I am getting bootloop after flashing the build. I followed exact guidelines as instructed. Can you please tell me what could have gone wrong. Thanks.
