A Laravel Nova tool to display the application log

Installation

You can install the nova tool in to a Laravel app that uses Nova via composer:

composer require spatie/nova-tail-tool

Next up, you must register the tool with Nova. This is typically done in the tools method of the NovaServiceProvider.

// in app/Providers/NovaServiceProvider.php

// ...

public function tools()
{
   return [
        // ...
        new \Spatie\TailTool\TailTool(),
    ];
}

Usage

Click on the "Application log" menu item in your Nova app to see the log. Initially it will be empty. All new lines that are appended to the log will be shown.

nova-tail-tool's Issues

Please support multi log file

Log entries printed multiple times, if loading is slow

When loading is slow (ie. takes longer than the pooling time), the intermediate log messages are showing up multiple times.

Nova 4 support

Any plans to update it to Nova 4?

Scroll to bottom covers horizontal scrollbar when present

If you have long lines in log output that cause horizontal scrolling, the scroll to bottom element will prevent you from using the mouse to scroll left and right, as the element fully covers the scrollbar when present. Once you are at the bottom of the output and the button goes away, the scroll bar of course works as it should.

I cannot see the "Application Log" menu on left sidebar after installation.

I'm using nova v1.0.16 with laravel 5.7
