errors are strange on Linux/Windows

Describe the bug
Random characters are outputted when errors are throws on certain OS

To Reproduce

  1. type in the letter a (variable undefined error)

Expected behavior
Traceback

errors traceback

Traceback on errors are sometimes not showing the complete stacktrace, and instead just a portion
