bower's Issues

Problem with generator

Using Ruby 2.2.2 and Rails 4.0.13 I receive an error running the generator after bundling the gem.

$ rails generate bower:install
      create  bower_components
Could not find "bower.json" in any of your source paths.

I just copied the two files from ./lib/generators/templates into my rails project's root path and its fine. Maybe the generator needs some more explicit pathing?

ngTable Coloumn Customization

Dear Team,

As i have an One table it was some customized Filters and Sorting, but i want to make some column wise customization like

In top of the table i have an One Button, if i click the Button it will shows some one Multi Select Box with Drag Drop option.
In Side of Lpanel I have an options are table header title
Cpanel is select a coloumn title selective options like Lpanel to rpanel, Rpanel to Lpanel, All to Rpanel, All to lapnel insid ehave Drag Drop.
In table header name(data) are loaded into the Select Box. whatever i action will perform like L to R R to L, Drag and Drop
I want to hide the columns and i want make the column positions too

Kindly Help me for an custom Directive / Controller,

Move component.json to components/?

The generated .bowerrc tells components to install in components/ but the component.json file is in components/javascripts/. Is there a need for this extra folder?

Trouble with bower package names that have hypens or full stops

I have been trying to use https://github.com/ember-addons/bootstrap-for-ember but I can only get it to work if I change the package name from "ember-addons.bootstrap_for_ember" to "boostrapforember".

coolio

I've been having problems getting this to work. Everything's fine when I'm on dev, but when I push to heroku, I get this error on precompiling assets:

remote:        Sprockets::FileNotFound: couldn't find file 'coolio'
remote:        (in /tmp/build_f5c2acbf52130ab24efc0783594eed2d/vendor/bundle/ruby/2.1.0/gems/bower-0.0.2/spec/dummy/app/assets/javascripts/application.js:13)

I finally narrowed it down to this gem. Do you know what the coolio.js in spec/dummy/app/assets/javascripts/application.js is required for?

Comments in bower.json

When you do rails generate bower:install, there are comments in bower.json which will break bower install if you don't remove them. I think it's very easy to overlook it, and it should be emphasized that the comments should be removed.

Possible Readme/Wiki update

Just a tip you may want on the readme/wiki - Make sure that the packages "main" defined in their bower.json file then to specifically call each file required.
