I've put it under future development to make use of the Masonry framework to display lists in a staggered grid to maximize board space, so it may be added when I have time. However, I'm hesitant about how usable this would be. It may try a static grid first. (Trello clearly made the right call with horizontal being the most intuitive, but when you're working without a trackpad, on a small monitor, or with many short lists, I find vertical to be useful just temporarily.)

Yes, I second this feature request! (This comment is a dup of one I wrote under closed issue #48.)

I'd love vertically and horizontally arrange lists (not just wrapping when they overflow past the right edge, but vertically stacking by choice, in addition to horizontal layout). In my today column, I want to split into multiple lists (ie, ongoing and emergent in the same column but in separate lists).
