Finder extension app for macOS. You can create empty text files, copy file and directory locations, and launch a Terminal to a folder path when navigating Finder.
I was surprised, macOS does not seem to provide this elementary function neither.
If you call new folder from the menu, it will be created at the same level as the finder current list, not where the focus within that list is.
If you feel in mood, could you please provide it? It will surely be very appreciated.
Thank you very much.
Just download the application from releases (or compile it from the sources), copy it to your /Applications directory and run it once to install the containing Finder Extension.
I am really sorry, but i could not find any FinderUtilities.app in your project.
Could you please explain which file is supposed to be copied to /Applications?
Thank you for having written and shared this ! This is exactly what I was planning to write myself.
Testing on Catalina 10.15.5, the open Terminal command does not work. /usr/bin/open -a terminal pathworks when I try the command, but not from the extension.
It's very difficult to debug as NSLogand printstatement do not appear in XCode, when running the extension from there
Hey @suolapeikko , first thanks for sharing this litte helpful tool.
Would it be possible to change the terminal.app to iTerm2.app?
Tried to find where you declare the terminal.app, but couldn't find it. I'm not very familiar with swift, sorry.
