The example in bindings/go/README.md
was a little bit outdated (fixed now), but other than that I can't confirm that it fails to compile as suggested above. I do use go 1.16. Does 'go test' executed in bindings/go
directory work on your computer? If not, then it ought to be something for you to figure out. If 'go test' works, then provide exact steps leading to the error. Obviously performed in empty directory, so that the problem can be reproduced.

For me compiling works fine (Go 1.18), but the VS Code Go extension shows me the compiler errors mentioned in the issue on many methods.

Well, the method in question is just 20 lines above. Obviously it's the VS Code extension's limitation. I would guess that it doesn't play well with cgo... Not much we can do about it...
